Junior Guidelines
Welcome to the California Tennis Club. We are Glad your child is involved in one of our instructional programs and we will do everything we can to make their tennis learning experience at the Cal Club fun and productive. We do have specific rules and guidelines and need your acknowledgement of these policies.
DROP OFF & PICK UP
Please use the designated white zone area located in front of the Scott Street entrance, or enter the garage, turn right, and proceed to the walk way to drop off your child.
When entering the garage, please press the intercom and acknowledge that you are here for a lesson. PLEASE NOTE:

Once inside the gate, all drivers MUST turn right so traffic will travel in one direction. Please observe this safety rule.

Please do not honk your horn to gain entrance to the garage and do not block the driveway or gate area at any time.

Absolutely NO RUNNING OR YELLING while in the Club. Please respect the other members
CLUB HOUSE USE
THE DINING ROOM - (Upstairs above Court #1 & #2). The Dining room is for club members and their guests. Juniors under the age of 18 are not allowed in the dining room unless accompanied by a parent or an adult. Parents are reminded to respect the use of the room by club members and to control the behavior of your child.
THE BAR– (Upstairs above Court #1) Junior’s may sit at the bar only if they are having a snack or a meal.
THE JUNIOR ROOM – (behind court #3) has a television and Ping Pong Table. There are also tables for doing homework. Please bus all glasses and plates back upstairs. Ping Pong Paddles and balls can be checked out at the Pro Shop.
THE LOUNGE & LANDING AREA – (Upstairs to the side of Court #1) The lounge and landing area may be used for homework or quiet activities. Juniors may also use this area to eat their snack or lunch. Please bus all glasses and plates back to the bar. Juniors who do not act with respect to others in the lounge will be asked to behave properly or leave the area.
CONFERENCE ROOM – Same as LOUNGE AREA
DEMO RACKETS are available at the pro shop. There is a $3.00 / racquet charge for current frames. You can apply up to $24.00 to the purchase of a new racquet, and will receive a racquet demo card to track your demo history. Discontinued frames are available free of charge. Please sign all demo racquets out at the front desk. They are not to leave the club.
CONDUCT
Please do not walk on or across any court while a match is in play. You may cross between points of a match but only if done with haste and due regard for the players. Please do not use the Court 1 stairs when that court is in use. Boisterous or offensive conduct on or in the vicinity of the courts is not permitted. Intentional hitting of tennis balls over the fence, or against walls or properties adjacent to the courts is strictly prohibited. The courts shall not be used for playing other games.
DRESS CODE
All players shall maintain correct, proper, and complete tennis attire including tennis shoes (non marking) while playing tennis at the Cal Club. School shorts and shirts are permissible. No jeans please. Any deviation including improper tennis shoes will result in that player’s inability to participate in any tennis activities until the problem is resolved.
